Since last week or more than that I think, Mumbai is overcome with waves of panic caused due to a tiny virus leading to swine flu... I sort of somehow, got caught up by this virus's subordinate and was down with the chills, body ache etc..After attending Krishna's birthday party (which my dad and other family members celebrate every year since I remember) I came home and realized that something was wrong with me. Thats when it struck me that the wisest thing to do was stay put in bed with some antibiotic in my bloodstream. It was so bad, that I couldnt do something simple like "reading" too without feeling fatigued. Then I tried watching a movie..Only the presence of Johnny Depp in it (Sweeney Todd) gave me the strength to watch it till the end...Restless that I am, I went online and after re reading all emails and updates (from FB to Yahoo), I saw an update from a friend asking me to join some sort of a game on FB.Usually, I downright ignore all such requests..But somehow ( i wd call it Providence, I just finished reading Agatha Christie, hence the word :), I ended up on that particular page and I was intrigued by the content and the rest of the stuff that was in it.
At the onset, I thought it quite silly..Humbug..actually. But as I explored it, the more fascinated I got with it.
Its very simple. You role play a farmer, build your own farm, grow ur animals. Harvest crops. And all the stuff that comes along with farming..Its simply fannntttttabuuulloousss.
Its like living a double life, you know, the real one, in the city with all the problems of life and the society and another virtual life, where your worry is weeds, dry leaves and crows. I never thought that mulching cows, bleating sheep, whinnying horses, clucking hens, ripe strawberries and pumpkins and the fruit trees would give me so much joy. :)
I asked vidya, neem and Satyu to participate..and now at this minute, I am a proud farmer and own 3 sheep, 6 cows, one pig, 2 rabbits and now am eagerly waiting for my pumpkins to grow and yes, I have got to go to the market to buy seeds for rice..and sigh have to utilize my cash to expand my farm, since its growing by leaps and bounds..
And O what joy, to worry and fret about which crop to farm and harvest... :)))
A happy-modern-altruistic-young-city bred farmer...
Oh yes, the name of the game is "farm ville"....

To Each His Own
Yesterday, I don't know how I bumped into this blog of some person who had written about emmigration and about a certain person' speech. I was really shocked to read it. Its unbelievable that in today's time and era, we have people who have such restrictive thinking. I ave no clue whether that speech was valid or not, but yet it was horrifying to even lay my eyes upon it. In layman's terms, the speech informed emmigrants to kind of like mind their business and just live in their limits with 100 % tolerance of that particular nation's values, religion etc etc etc.
And to that some Indian guy had commented something about Hindutva.. And to that this blogger had kind of reprimanded him questioning him / her about some part of Indian history. I mean, what the heck!! Why cant the blogger or anybody or the guy who commented live where they want to and how they want to as long as they are within the legal limits of that particular place and are a harmless part of that society. Its rubbish, this my country, your land, my nation, your language, etc. I mean why cant everyone follow a simple principle of "To each his Own"..!?!?!?!
Actually I think it must be some genetic fault, since we start this mine and your thing, right from our childhood. Its just that those days, it was an innocent "mine" regarding our things, and somewhere down the line its takes the form of this huge monster which if we dont put to sleep inside us, rears up it ugly head to ravage everything in sight. Family relations, friends, sisters, brothers, husbands, wives, children, parents, all become statistical figures in this large scale devastation. Why others, even me, till a few years ago, used to think like these pea-sized brains. But have over the years broadened my thinking. Why is it, that if I choose to live somewhere, equals to , I hate the place I was born in or lived in?!?!? I mean dont we grow up and leave our parents and go out and build our own nest someplace else?!?! Then why is it difficult for us to aacept people who have left their towns/ countries etc and come to our place to seek something. Why cannot we be more accommodating and tolerant?!?!?
I am not here to campaign for the underdog here, just that I feel strongly we should let others be.. Simply put, "to each his own"...

Why????
Enemy.. Be it humans, lions, cats, dogs, tigers, brothers, sisters, husbands, friends.. we can fight them off if need be..to defend ourselves.. But what do we do when the enemy lies within!! What does one do when one is getting deprived of life by one's own body!! Sorry, this is going to be a depressing blog, so any1 reading it is advised to stop right now..I m in tht mood so..Why does life throw such googly balls at us!! Why does my heart feel so bad? How do we get so close with people whom we hate or who are totally insignificant throughout our life and then one fine day they suddenly turn up in your life..and then u become family!! Why do we develop bonds which during our trying times are such mental drains? Why cant I be a stone hearted person? Why does it hurt when sometimes you knw whats ineveitable and yet u dont want it to happen!! Why is tht sometimes the fear of the known is more frightening than the fear of the unknown? Why dont bad things happen to bad people? WHy do good people have to go thru the hot kiln of life? Where do we find courage to "bear it all?" Why does our faith waver sometimes? Why do we still carry on with life after a certain period? Why? Why?
A solitary word.. God bless people with courage and endurance for all those who are out there and who have the same set of questions as mine and more..
Over and out!!

Blogging
Blogging!! A new chapter begins today!! :) So will try and be regular and be a little insane and sensible at the same time!!
So get ready since Mr. Cacophonix rocks!!! And so do I !!! Hahahaha!! this is the heights of modesty!!
For starters, I am just going to go into this autowriting mode and just going to speedily type out whatever comes to mind right now!!
So here goes..
People:!!! So many varieties of people. So many qualities, varied interests, varied reactions. I love to observe people, when I am travelling, when I am at a dinner, a wedding, at the bus stop, railway station!! And it always surprises me!! The way people behave or react in certain situations!! So weird. Maybe someone some where is also observing me and thinking the same about me. I am strange too. Whenever I travel, I use my Ipod. And I keep swaying to the beats or nodding my head without realizing what I am actually doing!! Then a certain phrase or bit of music reminds me of something or somebody, then I break into a smile or just splutter some nonsense and then I feel stupid. I stop and think about what I am doing and then what do I do!?!? Well, I start all over again!! And sing and nod and move and smile and talk!!!
